Adam Rust, 3Day Kitchen & Bath dealer in northern Kentucky is proud to say that he is deliberately not trying to be normal. Because “normal” in the construction industry is not always the best for the homeowner.
When Adam was just eight years old he began helping his building contractor Dad on a regular basis. It is this foundation, or base layer of experience, that paved the way for him to choose a career where he can serve homeowners with knowledge, expertise, and superior service. What drives him? A desire to give customers a pain-free and efficient experience.
Why change the rules?
Well, the traditional construction industry doesn’t always serve homeowners first. They wait sometimes weeks for materials to arrive, manage multiple jobs at the same time, and communication is often lacking. Did you know?
- the average kitchen remodel in the US takes from 2 to 3 months
- the average bathroom remodel in the US takes from 6 to 8 weeks
When Adam was introduced to 3Day Kitchen & Bath and the process they use to complete a full kitchen remodel in 3-5 days on average, he was skeptical. All that changed when he visited a 3Day dealer nearby and witnessed a full kitchen remodel project begin on Monday morning and finish early on Friday of that week. This was a way to make remodeling an amazing experience for homeowners!
Initially, he says, many of his clients don’t really believe the short timeline plan will work, but then they are amazed when they have a new kitchen or bath a week later!
How it works

In the first meeting with a client, he tells them that he doesn’t play the “estimate game.” This is one way 3Day Kitchen & Bath is changing the “rules.” Once he understands what the client wants, he works up a design and plans for the project. When he shares the plan — they begin selecting materials and designing a budget.
And when the remodel is done, Adam and a member of his crew meet at the home and walk through every plan and detail to be sure it is exactly what the homeowner expected. If not, the crew makes adjustments. Adam says his goal is to build “…a whole long list of happy people.”
Ready for some new rules?
1. No surprises
The contract gets signed with a $ amount that will not change. There are no surprises or additional costs that get added on.
2. Timeline
The project is scheduled with a specific begin and end date. Most jobs begin on Monday and a final walk-through takes place on Friday of that week.
3. Satisfaction
During the walk-through at the end of the project, if there is something the homeowner wants changed it is taken care of. Customer satisfaction is top priority.
