The bathroom is where you begin and end your day. After time, cabinetry and tubs, flooring and vanities lose their luster. Hardware surfaces tarnish and faucets get leaky. When it’s time to remodel, choosing a modern style can make it practical and luxurious at the same time.
Transformation in Utah
This is the story of Josh and Heather’s bath renovation and what it took for 3Day expert contractors to transform the space from tired and mundane, to high-tech and modern, in just one week!
Josh and Heather found 3DayKitchenandBath on a web search. They set up an appointment with Tyler Shurtz for a consultation that ended up becoming a modern transformation of their bath! Josh wanted a modern “man cave” style sanctuary – so there was a clear wish list.
- Remove the bathtub and make way for a large onyx shower.
- Shower tower with bluetooth for music
- New toilet
- New vanity with onyx countertop
- Backlit-bluetooth-LED mirror with wifi connection
Essentially, every feature in the bath needed a substantial upgrade. The goal was minimalistic design, high-end amenities, and a neutral color palette.
Luxurious and Hi-Tech
The vanity went from golden oak to smooth black with an onyx countertop and silver hardware. The bathtub was removed to make way for an extensive onyx shower with a large bench at one end and a full Euro shower door and glass enclosure. The durable wood flooring and modish toilet make the space clean and efficient.
Sound luxurious? Sound Hi-Tech?
The LED mirror above the double vanity is backlit with wifi connection to display the outdoor temperature and more. The new shower fixtures have multiple shower heads, rain heads and body washes. And to top it all off—access to music through bluetooth.
In Five Days…
Between Monday and Friday Tyler’s team completed the renovation on budget and on time.

It had been difficult for Josh and Heather to envision the full completion of their plan on Monday when the crew showed up; but when they walked through on Friday, they couldn’t believe how amazing it looked! Josh’s first words were:
This is unbelievable! So much better than I anticipated!
That’s the kind of feedback we love to hear! And honestly, it’s fairly typical!
