After moving into a new home, the Bishop’s made a quick list of what they wanted to change. It was the noisy floors that bothered them the most — and was the first item on the list. But once the list got started, it was easy to add more updates.
3Day Contractor Tyler Shurtz met with the Bishops in their home and described their :
Jenn and Dave had been our neighbors and friends for about 10 years. Eventually we both moved to new locations; but when they decided it was time to remodel, they scheduled a consultation with me.
Their new home was built in 1995 and had lots of oak cabinets, green countertops, and a hardwood floor that was very noisy. We discussed their list and came up with a design for a new kitchen and floors.

The Project
Shurtz described the project:
We scheduled the project for 5 days because of the scope of work that needed to be done. The flooring needed replaced beyond the kitchen, so we took care of about 600 square feet of floor space with the best LVP available on the market. The tile backsplash was also a considerable project. But the good news is that we came in on time!
Our design included moving the refrigerator to a new location, centering the range, and replacing an old angle-style island with a large rectangle island to improve workspace and workflow.

Still Friends
Tyler Shurtz is located in Utah, and has been updating homes for clients since 2000. He was especially proud of this project, finishing in one week, despite the brevity of work to be done. And, after it was all over, he said:
