Tyler Shurtz and the Utah County Crew
Tyler Shurtz owns this location and is the project lead homeowners deal with directly. Once work starts on site, foreman Ilan, Preston and Nate are among the names homeowners mention.
Tyler Shurtz
Owner of 3 Day Kitchen & Bath in Utah County
Tyler Shurtz knows what it feels like to wait too long for a bathroom remodel. Years ago, while running a heating and air conditioning company, he hired a contractor to renovate his own bathroom. The project took three months. That experience helped shape his belief that homeowners deserve a better-planned way to remodel.
A 3 Day Kitchen & Bath owner since 2000, Tyler grew up in Provo and raised his family in Orem. He graduated from Brigham Young University in construction management and grew up working in his family’s heating and air conditioning business. Those local roots and years in construction inform his kitchen and bathroom remodeling work throughout Utah County.
Tyler begins by asking people what they want. If they are unsure, he offers ideas, helping them see possibilities beyond the room’s existing arrangement. For an Orem kitchen remodel, that can mean finding space for more useful storage or reconsidering appliance placement so the room is easier to move through. He enjoys showing someone a design they had not realized their home could accommodate.
Turning that design into the finished room takes equal care. Tyler prepares detailed installer notes and walks through the plan with his crew and the homeowner. He pays close attention to the fit of kitchen cabinets and crown molding, as well as protecting the home during construction and cleaning up afterward.
His approach to problems reflects a lesson learned from his father: do right by the customer. Tyler treats his tradespeople as partners and expects the team to concentrate on solutions rather than blame. He has returned years later to help a past customer with a leaking faucet, and helped another work through a flooring problem after a flood.

Done in Days, Not Months
How long does a remodel usually take?
That depends on the approach. Because every decision is made and every material is on hand before we start, our part is measured in days.
Most projects finish in 3 to 7 days; larger or multi-room projects run longer, shown by the lighter bar. Ranges for the other approaches are industry averages from our remodeling FAQ. Your project’s exact timeline is quoted in writing and guaranteed before work begins.

What Provo homeowners say
I highly recommend 3 Day Kitchen & Bath because of Tyler. Trusting a contractor with a full remodel can be scary but Tyler is honest, ethical, and committed to providing a top notch service. Just my 2 cents but give him a call if you want to be treated well.

Questions we get
Questions Provo homeowners ask
Which Utah County cities does Tyler's team work in?
Tyler's team works throughout Utah County: Highland, Alpine, Cedar Hills, Lehi, Saratoga Springs, Eagle Mountain, American Fork, Pleasant Grove, Lindon, Vineyard, Orem and Provo, plus Springville, Mapleton, Spanish Fork, Woodland Hills, Elk Ridge, Salem, Payson, Lakeshore and Santaquin. If your home is just outside that list, ask when you call.
Do I need to hire my own plumber, electrician or countertop installer?
No. Your dedicated team schedules the plumbing, electrical, cabinet, countertop, flooring and paint work, and one project manager owns the job from the first appointment to the final walkthrough. Homeowners here point out how much time that saves. You make the decisions; you do not have to collect bids or chase separate trades.
Who is Tyler Shurtz?
Tyler owns this location and leads design. Utah County homeowners describe him bringing layout ideas they had not considered, explaining the process clearly and following through on what he said he would do. On site, foreman Ilan has been noted for clear communication and arriving on time each day.
How long will a project take in my home?
Most projects take 3 to 7 days on site, and larger or multi-room projects run longer. In Utah County, one family had a remodel that moved walls finished in five days, and another had a kitchen plus vanities in two bathrooms done in the same five days. Your dates are written down before work starts.
Is the price I approve the price I pay?
Yes. You get a written price and a written timeline before any work begins. Because cabinets, countertops, flooring and fixtures are all selected during design, there are no mid-project change orders driving the cost up. Tyler also works with you on a design that fits your budget before you sign off.
Can I see materials before choosing them?
Yes. Tyler's team brings cabinet, countertop and flooring samples to your home so you can compare them in the room where they will go. Every selection is made before anything is ordered, which is what lets the crew arrive with all materials on hand on the first day.
